This directive outlines our approach to sustainable printing practices, emphasizing the importance of reusing materials and reducing waste.
⦁ Reduce Waste: We lower the amount of printing & branding materials disposed of by implementing reuse strategies. We also help standardise branding sizes & ratios to maximise sheet & roll usage.
⦁ Conserve Resources: Minimize the use of new resources by maximizing the use of existing printing & branding materials.
⦁ Enhance Awareness: Encourage all employees and stakeholders to participate in sustainable printing & branding practices.
⦁ Material Inventory: Maintain a centralized inventory of all event printing materials, including rigid materials, large format fabric, supporting sub-structures and metals
⦁ Double-Sided Printing: Promote the use of double-sided printing wherever possible or re-coating rigid panel faces.
⦁ Reuse Protocols:
⦁ Scrap material Utilization: Wherever possible scrap materials are reused in future sub-structures. These materials are also used in workshop builds and office maintenance. Even small scrap materials are used for training in our internal training academy.
⦁ Recyclable Materials: We have a policy for collecting and reusing any recyclable materials first off and secondly to accredited recycling plants.
⦁ Digital Alternatives: Spectrum has already shifted to digital documentation whenever possible and use tools and platforms that facilitate paperless communication and file sharing.
⦁ Training and Awareness Campaigns: Our academy regularly runs training sessions and informational resources to educate employees / sub-contractors about the importance and practices of reusing materials.
⦁ OnceWas initiative. We offer the re-purposing of event branding into tote bags & heavy duty duffle bags which can also be a source of return income for any event. We have 5 carefully designed bags to maximise material use.
